About the Author

C.F. Micky is a survivor of a thirty-three-year narcissistic marriage. It took her six years in court trying to break free and gain back not just her freedom, but also her sovereignty. Since then, Caty has been busy recouping her strength, healing from the abuse, and moving forward to reclaim her life. She is looking forward to all that life has to offer. Through trials and tribulations, she has learned many lessons and is open to sharing them to help those who are trapped in the same abusive cycle. Caty lives on a grain-producing farm that is now operated by her son. She is a mother of two girls and a son, and is blessed with six grandchildren. She enjoys all aspects of farm life, from gardening, canning, yard work, to running the tractors, and hopes to pass this love on to her grandchildren and teach them the benefits of nutritional food. Caty's faith is strong and she believes in living life with pure, good intentions.
You never know what goes on behind closed doors. Caty’s story could have ended with a very different outcome. Writing this book was very therapeutic for her, helping her find strength and a voice to hopefully help others facing the same challenges. I was honored when she asked me to read this book. It was an easy read, and the definitions certainly helped in understanding this mental illness.

This book goes into detail about how a narcissist plays with your mind, your heart, and tries to destroy your family bond. Although Caty has written about all of this for healing purposes and to hopefully help others in the same or similar situation, it does take time to figure out who you are and how to move on. Caty is strong and has an amazing purpose.

Reading this book feels like unwrapping a deeply personal gift, layer by layer. At times, those layers reveal chaos and pain, but also the undeniable beauty of a life fully lived. Through it all, Caty discovers the power of self-reflection, the strength of her children, and most importantly, the truth that she is loveable and worthy.

This book is a deep look into the author’s life. It is raw and honest and will leave you feeling empowered. It sparks many interesting thoughts and conversations to be had around abuse and what it can look like. This is a body of work for those who are brave enough to face their true north and take their power back.
